is ejection fraction of < 22% in the left ventricle reversible?

Question: what are the causes that can be reversible and causes that can not be reversible?

Answer: EF can usually be improved with the standard drug therapy (beta blocker, such as Coreg, and ACE inhibitor, such as Lisinopril). 22% is low, but certainly not the end of the world. (My wife started at 20% and was at 38%, last time we checked.) I recommend finding a good heart failure doctor and continuing to read up as much as possible. Good Luck!
